When I first started doing woodwork as a hobby and then later attending art shows, I named my little budding business “Leldon’s Scrollsawing.” Over the years I added more tools and skills, and with that, changed the name to “Leldon’s Wooden Art.” When 2020 came, life changed. I had to change what I was doing if I wanted to stay in business doing what I love, since all shows were canceled due to the pandemic. In July of that year we took a leap and opened a retail store in our hometown of Cullman, Alabama! It turned out “Leldon’s Wooden Art” needed another new name. We spent hours and hours trying to come up with something that was not “Leldon,” but in the end, with everyone else telling us that “Leldon’s” had to be it, we relented and Leldon’s was born. My father named me after a long-time friend, and the name fits… a bit strange, one of a kind, and mostly not easy to forget!
